A life without film would be like a beach without the sea
Ipanemafilm is committed to provocative, well encapsulated stories particularly of political import.
From the outset of its founding in 2002, the firm has placed value on politically and socially relevant subjects in films that simultaneously maintain an intimacy with the protagonist.
The firm produces short and long-format documentaries and feature films. Projects are of a collaborative nature: the director Birthe Templin works extensively among a team of authors, photographers and other directors. The company is regularly supported by nordmedia (Germany), the Nord Deutsche Rundfunk (Germany), and by international private financiers.
